Polaroid Colorpack IV Land Camera

first post - let's just jump right in, shall we?

meet my new best friend, the polaroid colorpack iv land camera.

i picked her up last week via some nice ebayer who sold it to me for $8. this particular model, the colorpack iv (out of five different variations of the colorpack), was released circa 1969-71. i'm a little bit in love.

i also ordered some 100 chocolate film, now incredibly hard to find (especially in the US). in fact, i could only find it on polapremium, a german vendor of all things instant film. beware, consumer: as amazing as polapremium is, it seriously costs MORE than a pack of film ($16) to ship to the US ($25 for s&h). in other words, if you plan on buying film, buy multiple packs at once to offset the ridiculous shipping prices.

friday found me shooting post-work hours at the ellanor c. lawrence park out in chantilly. behold, the sweet matrimony of the colorpack iv and 100 choc film:

this is when i fell knee-deep into mud and was cut by thorns

shortly after, i destroyed the rest of the film in the pack and got caustic photo "jelly" (i quote the box) all over my hands. and yes, it stung. it stung horribly.

the aftermath. (this is after i cleaned off my shoes. and yes, i did all of this in a pencil skirt and work flats.)

oh, and before i part, i leave you photo nerds with the land list. it's hard as hell to decipher the photo jargon, but interesting to look at nonetheless.

cheers!
